The PS10 PTA is a group of interested parents, teachers & staff dedicated to providing support and resources to the school. We help fund and organize many activities and programs that enhance the rich curriculum at PS10. We are an all-volunteer organization that works collaboratively with the school.
All parents and caregivers of PS10 students, along with the teachers and school staff are automatically members of the PTA and have a voice in decision-making.
Monthly Meetings
The PTA meets on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. To make it easier for parents, the PTA provides free childcare for kids in Pre-K and up, as well as free pizza for kids. The dates are in the School Calendar.
Voting takes place at our monthly meetings, where we discuss school business and upcoming events and activities. This is also where we decide how to spend PTA funds.
Committees
There are many wonderful committees started by parents, including but not limited to; Recess Committee The Green Committee, Author Visits, Healthy Steps, Newsletter, Website and Grants Committee. We have created events such as: as The Dance-a-Thon, Harvest Day, Literacy Week & PS10 Rocks! Or, if you have an idea for a committee, come to a PTA meeting to discuss it.
