Congressional Representative Yvette Clarke came to P.S. 10 on Friday, May 1st. She gave out the Student of the Week awards (see above), and met with the entire student council and the PS 10 PTA.

Pre-K 2009-2010 Application Schedule
March 6: Application Period Opens; the Pre-K Directory will be available in schools and online at http://schools.nyc.gov/ ChoicesEnrollment/PreK
April 3: PreK application deadline
Week of May 18: Assignment letters mailed to families
May 18 through May 29: Families pre-register at schools
Kindergarten Registration for the 2009-2010 School Year

Applications for Kindergarten are available in the office, or you can download a pdf here. The deadline for submission is March 6. If your child is currently enrolled in Pre-K at PS10, you must fill out the application only. For new students applying to our school, parents must bring the child, his/her birth certificate, and the parents' proof of address, in addition to submitting the admissions form. There is no central application process for Kindergarten. You must apply in person at each school.
Key dates:
January 12 through March 6: Families submit Kindergarten Applications.
March 16: Schools will notify families regarding assignment offers.
March 16 through April 13: Assigned families inform schools as to whether they accept or reject offers and those who accept must be registered.
Borough President Marty Markowitz Cuts the Ribbon to Open Our Barrier-Free Playground!

On Monday, November 17, Borough President Marty Markowitz helped Principal Laura Scott and the P.S. 10 kids open our brand-new barrier-free playground. Now all of our children can play together regardless of their physical disabilities. The playground was funded by the Borough President's office and the School Construction Authority.
